Your onboarding call is a chance to put a human face to your journey — tell us about your business, and make sure we understand where you're headed and how we can best support you.

If you've purchased a business structure setup with us, we'll provide advice on the best structure and answer any questions you might have.

Before you book, we'll ask you to complete a short onboarding form. It takes about 10 minutes and gives us everything we need to make the conversation as useful as possible from the first minute.

Can I pay monthly?

All packages are available on a monthly rolling basis. If you'd prefer to commit annually, you get two months free — saving $790 on Basecamp, $2,790 on Ascent, and $4,700 on Summit.

Are these costs tax deductible?

Yes — accounting and business advisory fees are generally deductible as a business expense when you're operating a business. We'd always recommend confirming with us at your first meeting as every situation is different.

What is Xero and why do I need it?

Describe the item or answer the question so that site visitors who are interested get more information. You can emphasize this text with bullets, italics or bold, and add links.

Do you do payroll?

Yes, payroll is available as an add-on service across all packages. Pricing is quoted based on the number of employees and pay frequency. Ask us about it on your onboarding call.

Can I get advice before I sign up?

Absolutely. Book a discovery call with Craig — it's a free 20-minute conversation to talk through where you are, what you need, and whether Startup Sherpa is the right fit. No obligation, no sales pressure.

What if I need more than 4 support calls on Basecamp?

You can upgrade to Ascent at any time for unlimited support calls. Alternatively, speak to us about your options — we'll work something out that suits your situation.

How do I cancel?

You can cancel at any time before your next renewal period. Monthly plan — before your next monthly billing date. Annual plan — before your annual renewal date. No lock-in, no cancellation fees.

How long does it take to get started?

Quickly. We can have your business structure set up within days of your onboarding call, and your Xero accounts configured within a week after that. Most clients are up and running, invoicing, and collecting within two weeks of signing up.

What if my turnover grows into the next tier?

Your package is reviewed annually and adjusted to match your revenue. If you grow significantly mid-year, we'll have a conversation about moving you up sooner. You're also welcome to upgrade voluntarily at any time if you want more support before reaching the threshold.

What's included in the monthly webinars?

Every month we run a live 60-minute session on Zoom — 30 minutes of presentation and 30 minutes of open Q&A. Topics cover business structure, finance, marketing, sales, systems, people, and growth strategy. Sessions are recorded for clients who can't attend live. You also get one free guest pass per session.

Do you work with businesses outside Australia?

We're an Australian registered accounting practice so our compliance services are specific to Australian tax and corporate law. If you're based overseas or have cross-border operations, get in touch and we can discuss what's possible.

I'm already trading — can I still join?

Absolutely. Many of our clients are already trading when they join us — some have been in business for years and want better support and more strategic advice. Choose the package that matches your current turnover and book your onboarding call. We'll take it from there.
